Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP has announced the re-election of William P. Farthing, Jr. as Managing Partner. Mr. Farthing, who has served as Managing Partner since 2002, was elected by the partnership for a third four-year term.

As Managing Partner, Mr. Farthing serves as Chairman of the Firm's Board of Directors and as Chief Executive Officer. Under Mr. Farthing’s direction, Parker Poe has been one of the fastest growing firms in the country – having grown by more than 50 percent – and has received national recognition for its quality of service in numerous practice areas. Smith University, where he currently serves as University Attorney. He also served for a decade on the Charlotte Repertory Theatre’s Board of Directors and Executive Committee. Mr. Farthing was recently named a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, an honor limited to one third of one percent of lawyers licensed to practice in each jurisdiction.

Mr. Farthing received a JD, with honors, in 1974, and an AB in 1970 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he was a Morehead Scholar.
