(RALEIGH, NC) – Henry C. Campen, Jr., a Partner in Parker Poe’s Raleigh Office, has been elected chair of the board of directors of the Southeastern Coastal Wind Coalition.
The Southeastern Coastal Wind Coalition (SECWC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the coastal and offshore wind industry. SECWC’s mission is to create net economic benefits to industry, utilities, ratepayers and citizens of the Southeast.
Mr. Campen has more than 25 years of experience working with regulated utility companies. He manages siting, permitting and development issues for renewable energy companies across a broad spectrum of technologies. Mr. Campen leads Parker Poe’s multidisciplinary Renewable Energy practice, and served as Managing Partner of the Firm’s Raleigh office for ten years.
In addition to his role as chair of the SECWC’s board of directors, Mr. Campen serves on the board of advisors for North Carolina State University Poole College of Management. He is also a member of the board of directors and executive committee of the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Campen received his BA from Wake Forest University and his JD from North Carolina Central University.
