Charlotte, N.C. – Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP is pleased to announce that the Charlotte Business Journal has named Sarah Hutchins among the 40 top business leaders under the age of 40 in the Charlotte region. A panel of judges selected Sarah based on her successful legal practice, her community involvement, and her overall impact on the region.
Sarah is a partner and experienced litigator in Parker Poe’s Charlotte office. She played a key role in several high-stakes legal issues for major companies in the Charlotte area in the past year, including representing a Fortune 500 company in government and internal investigations. She is also an integral part of the internal operations at Parker Poe, leading the firm’s Community Service Committee and serving on its Professional Review Committee and Recruiting Committee.
In addition, Sarah serves on the Mecklenburg County Bar Foundation’s board of directors. In that role, she helps advance public understanding of the law and supports the charitable and educational goals of the Mecklenburg County Bar.
Sarah is also a leader in the nonprofit community. She is vice chair of the board of directors for the Humane Society of Charlotte. She serves on the board of directors of the McColl Center for Art + Innovation. And she recently concluded two years as a board of trustees apprentice with Blumenthal Performing Arts. Over the past year, she played important roles in helping those organizations navigate pivotal events – a major anniversary for the Blumenthal, a leadership change at the McColl, and a capital campaign for the Humane Society.
The Charlotte Business Journal will recognize Sarah and the other winners at its 25th annual 40 Under 40 Awards program on Thursday, May 31 in uptown Charlotte. She will also be profiled in the 40 Under 40 Special Report published in the June 1 edition of the CBJ.
