Sarah Hutchins was quoted in a Forbes article about cybersecurity measures that midsize companies should consider. She discussed the shifting regulatory framework for privacy and online data in the U.S.
“At the moment there are no federal, overarching, all-encompassing rules like they have in Europe, but legislation is introduced each year that could very well affect smaller businesses," Sarah said.
She also commented on the importance of insurance policies specific to cybersecurity.
“A lot of companies assume that they are covered under umbrella policies, and increasingly, they’re not,” Sarah cautioned. “So buy cyber insurance. It’s cheap. It won’t be in five to 10 years.”
