Katherine Graham presented at Parker Poe's Governance, Risk & Compliance Symposium in Charlotte. Katherine highlighted the consequences of when certain organizations have been out of compliance and discussed the lessons learned from those failures. They also talked about the importance of having a compliance program not only to avoid compliance failures but also to help gain mitigation credit from government regulators in the event of a violation.
The GRC Symposium brought together executives, board members, and professionals who focus on risk management, finance, and compliance. Parker Poe attorneys also presented on the symbiosis between enterprise compliance and risk management programs, as well as how immigration enforcement is shifting.
