Sarah Hutchins and Alli Davidson presented on evolving issues at the intersection of data and business litigation at the Carolinas Business Litigation Year in Review. They were joined by the principal forensics and cybersecurity expert for Reliance Forensics, Clark Walton.
Sarah, Alli, and Clark discussed how data can serve as a treasure trove of evidence in trade secret, noncompete, and other types of cases. They also provided an overview of the growing patchwork of laws impacting cybersecurity and data privacy, as well as the policies companies can put in place to best protect themselves before a dispute or a breach occurs.
The Carolinas Business Litigation Year in Review in Charlotte also included Parker Poe attorneys providing a comprehensive review of significant business cases from 2018, as well as a panel of federal and state court judges discussing the trends they observed in their courts.
