Charlotte, N.C. – Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP is pleased to announce that Andrew Lopez has been elected to the board of advisors for the University of North Carolina School of Law's Center for Banking and Finance. The center studies legal and policy issues related to banking and finance, and it advances the teaching of bankers and lawyers in North Carolina.
As a member of the board of advisors, Andrew will provide guidance on how the center serves the legal and banking community. He will also provide leadership with the center’s Banking Institute, a two-day program designed to provide the highest quality education on cutting-edge issues in banking law. Andrew was elected during this year’s Banking Institute in Charlotte.
At Parker Poe, Andrew represents financial institutions and borrowers in a variety of transactions, including construction loans, term loans, lines of credit, acquisition and development loans, and asset-based loans. He also represents financial institutions in corporate bankruptcy proceedings and complex civil litigation.
