Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP is pleased to announce that North Carolina Lawyers Weekly has recognized Nana Asante-Smith with the 2019 Women of Justice Award. Nana is among a group of women attorneys from across the state demonstrating leadership, integrity, service, sacrifice, and accomplishment in improving quality of justice and exemplifying the highest ideals of the legal profession.
Nana is a litigator in Parker Poe’s Raleigh office, where she focuses her practice on complex civil ligation, including breach of contract, unfair trade practice and securities cases, and government and internal investigations.
She is committed to serving her community and her fellow attorneys. Nana is president of the North Carolina Association of Black Lawyers, political action coordinator of the People’s Alliance, a member of the Durham Crisis Response Center’s board of directors, and a member of the Durham Mayor’s Council for Women.
