Charlotte, N.C. – Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP is pleased to announce that the North Carolina State Bar Board of Legal Specialization has certified Charlotte partner Sarah Hutchins in privacy and information security law.
The board certification demonstrates Sarah’s “special training, experience, and knowledge” in privacy and information security law, according to the State Bar. A meaningful portion of her practice and continuing legal education is focused on that area. She was endorsed by 10 of her peers outside of Parker Poe and passed a North Carolina-specific exam.
Sarah is also recognized by the International Association of Privacy Professionals as a Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US). The IAPP is the world’s largest and most comprehensive global information privacy community, and it provides the gold standard certifications for data privacy.
Sarah is a leader within Parker Poe’s Cybersecurity & Data Privacy Team. The team counsels clients on compliance with the full range of data protection laws, represents clients in litigation, and coordinates responses to data breaches.
