John Amabile was quoted in Law360 on how difficult it may be to get a business dispute tried in Georgia over the next few years because of the backlog that built up during the coronavirus pandemic.
"Certainly civil trials are going to be behind criminal trials, and in Superior Court they're probably going to be behind domestic disputes," John said. "Especially in metro Atlanta, it's never easy to get on a jury calendar and now it's even harder."
John said that businesses would be wise to consider arbitration, mediation, and other forms of alternative dispute resolution.
