Chief Information Officer Skip Lohmeyer was featured on the Tech Leaders Talk podcast. He discussed his personal career arc, how to be successful in tech and in a law firm, and how Parker Poe is using artificial intelligence to increase efficiency for clients.

Skip shared stories about his family and growing up in small town, what led him to join the U.S. Army and the National Guard, and what he learned during his time in the military, including in the Gulf War. He also explained how he became involved in the tech industry, his first big win in tech, and how legal tech has evolved over the course of his career.

Skip offered a variety of advice to younger tech professionals, including on career accelerators, being willing to take risks, learning from mentors, and drawing out the best in teams.

In addition, Skip discussed some of Parker Poe’s current goals with technology, as well as how the firm is using artificial intelligence (AI) to analyze contracts. He explained how accurate the machine-learning technology has become and how it can increase efficiency for both clients and the firm’s lawyers.
