Robert Botkin recently participated in the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) Charlotte chapter’s KnowledgeNet panel called, “What is ESG: Why do Data Privacy Practitioners Need to Know?” Robert and the other panelists had an in-depth discussion on the intersection of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations and data privacy. The panelists shared their experience overcoming hurdles associated with ESG disclosure requirements and requests, concerns of investors, and more.
Jay Cline, U.S. privacy leader and principal at PwC, served as the moderator of the discussion. Robert joined Limor Bernstock, senior director of governance and sustainability at Rivel, and Ram Sri, vice president, and senior analyst at Global ESG Moody’s.
