Charlotte, NC – Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP is pleased to announce that Michel Vanesse has been appointed as an advisor in economic diplomacy for Belgium. The consul general of Belgium in Atlanta nominated Michel based on Michel’s knowledge of the social, economic, and financial environment in both the U.S. and Belgium.
As an advisor in economic diplomacy, Michel will contribute to the diplomatic and consular missions of Belgium. He will advise on economic and financial issues and opportunities, and he will help make connections through his contacts in the business world.
Michel was born and grew up in Brussels, Belgium. He holds a law degree from the Unversité Libre de Bruxelles and practiced law in Brussels before moving to the United States to obtain his Juris Doctor from the University of Chicago as a fellow of the Belgian American Educational Foundation.
Michel has also served on the board of directors for the French-American Chamber of Commerce (FACC) Carolinas since 2019. At Parker Poe, he advises clients on all aspects of employee benefits and executive compensation.
