On February 27, Will DesChamps presented two presentations in a program hosted by the National Business Institute. The program focused on South Carolina civil practice, procedure, and forms.

Will’s first presentation, “Perfecting Those Critical First Steps,” focused on the parties and venue involved, initial compliant and responsive pleadings, and troubleshooting process issues.

The second presentation, “Motions and Briefs: Timing Strategy, Drafting, and Hearing Insights,” provided an overview of motion and brief writing tips and provided samples of different motions, including motions to dismiss, discovery motions, and summary judgment motions. He also discussed technology and exhibit points and limiting or excluding expert witness testimony.
