The Daily Report highlighted Parker Poe's growth last year in a recent article. Georgia's leading legal publication noted the firm's overall increase in attorneys and quoted Ellen Smith on the firm's fastest-growing office: Atlanta.
Ellen said the firm has been adding laterals and "new associates strategically and through a lens of diversity, equity and inclusion." Recent additions in Atlanta were largely focused on the education and commercial real estate industries. "But they brought skills that clients rely on beyond those industries, too, including with employment litigation, economic development and corporate transactions," Ellen said.
Ellen also described how Parker Poe is continuing to grow in Atlanta, the Carolinas, and Washington, DC. "We are prioritizing lawyers who practice in the areas of employment, environmental law, business litigation and intellectual property, as those are pressing needs for our clients in today’s economic and regulatory environment," she said.
