Parker Poe partnered with Southern University Law Center on its Sports & Entertainment Summer Immersion Program. The program exposes law students at the historically Black university to various career paths in the sports and entertainment industry. The weeklong program is in Atlanta this year, and Parker Poe hosted the students for a full day on July 26.

The program at Parker Poe included:

  • Nina Gupta and Shayla Wright providing an overview of evolving legal issues impacting collegiate sports.
  • Alonzo Llorens explaining how films are financed.
  • Ellen Smith discussing the intersection of real estate and the entertainment industry.
  • Brian Cromwell detailing what to do if the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) calls your client.
