Michael Goldsticker wrote an article for the first edition of Turning Square Corners, the newsletter published in the Federal Bar Association's Qui Tam Section.

Michael's article covered his interview with Charlie Sinks, a trial attorney and assistant attorney general for the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia. The two discussed the scope of the attorney general's office when it comes to the False Claims Act, and how the office is party to scores of multistate qui tam cases that have been filed in various federal courts that have asserted District of Columbia False Claims Act claims.

They discussed when the OAG determines to intervene in a qui tam case and how it coordinates with other jurisdictions in prosecuting False Claims Act cases.

Michael is a commercial litigator and trial attorney in the firm's Raleigh office. He handles, investigates, and litigates cases involving complex commercial disputes, including claims under the False Claims Act (qui tam actions) and other business fraud cases. He is a former assistant U.S. attorney with significant experience in large-scale investigations.
