Shalanna Pirtle spoke on a panel February 1 as part of the North Carolina Bar Association’s 2024 Antitrust & Complex Business Disputes Section Program in Cary, NC.
Shalanna’s panel discussed what litigators can do to be better allies to their colleagues and peers in the practice area. The panel covered what the legal profession can do to retain and keep diverse talent as a practice area grows. Along with her other panelists, Shalanna explored ways in which individuals can serve as allies to racial minorities as well as LGBTQ+ colleagues and coworkers with disabilities.
Shalanna is Parker Poe’s executive overseeing all aspects of talent management, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
Parker Poe’s Andy Tabeling also participated in the CLE. He moderated a panel comprised of sitting Business Court judges who offered their perspectives about practicing before the court.
