Beth Morris and Reagan Sauls presented on March 5 at the 2024 G-CASE Spring Legal Conference in Athens.
Their presentation was aimed at leaders in the education community from across Georgia. They provided practical guidance to educators on what parent advocates can and cannot legally do. They addressed those complex and nuanced situations that come up when dealing with advocates, including complaints, meetings, and records.
This year’s conference also included Parker Poe attorneys providing an overview of manifestation determination review meetings.
The Georgia Council of Administrators of Special Education (G-CASE) aims to promote professional leadership and study problems common to its members with the goal of improving services to children with special needs.
