MaryGrace Bell Kittrell and Beth Morris presented on March 5 at the 2024 G-CASE Spring Legal Conference in Athens.
They provided a basic overview of manifestation determination review meetings and provided practical guidance on how to respond to common issues that arise during these meetings. They used recent court decisions and hypotheticals to guide the discussion.
This year’s conference also included Parker Poe attorneys providing practical guidance to educators on what parent advocates can and cannot legally do.
The Georgia Council of Administrators of Special Education (G-CASE) aims to promote professional leadership and study problems common to its members with the goal of improving services to children with special needs.
