Traci V. Bransford was a featured speaker at the 2024 The Different Sports Technology Entertainment Media (STEM) Conference, which was held during the HBCU/NY Classic football game between Howard University and Morehouse College at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

Traci discussed the current status of name, image, and likeness (NIL) and how ongoing negotiations concerning the NCAA and various class action lawsuits the organization is facing might impact historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs). The House v. NCAA proposed settlement represents a landmark shift in college athletics, reshaping NIL rights and introducing significant financial and operational challenges for HBCUs as well as other Division I colleges and universities that will be responsible for a portion of the payments of NIL damages.

The 2024 The Different STEM Conference explores the global intersection of sports, technology, entertainment, and media with industry leaders in those areas.
