The Belgian American Chamber of the South (BACoS) quoted Michel Vanesse extensively in its spotlight on what makes Charlotte "a compelling destination for Belgian and other international businesses."

Michel is originally from Brussels and serves as an advisor in economic diplomacy for Belgium. He is part of Parker Poe's Business Expansion & Location Solutions Team, as well as its Employment & Benefits Team.

"Charlotte is a business-friendly city," Michel said. "There are cities that, because of where they are in their stage of development, may claim to be business-friendly but have a hard time accommodating everyone because of density, pricing, etc. Charlotte, however, is at a level of growth that still offers space. I believe that the city will continue to grow for the decades to come."

As part of his Q&A, Michel discussed how the Charlotte economy is growing and diversifying, and he highlighted some of the strategies and incentives that are attracting international companies.
