Raleigh, NC – Tasneem Dharamsi and Deb Stern graduated from Leadership Raleigh as part of Classes 51 and 52. The 10-month program is run by the Greater Raleigh Chamber and serves as one of the oldest sustained community leadership programs in the country.
Over the course of the program, Tasneem and Deb were given behind-the-scenes access to the region’s business and civic communities. Each class met and spoke directly with business and nonprofit leaders about challenges and opportunities across economic development, education, healthcare, and government, among others.
Class participants also played a key role in a volunteer project with a local nonprofit. Tasneem worked with the Boys & Girls Club of Wake & Johnston Counties to plan a gala taking place in 2027. The Boys and Girls Club helps youth reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens by equipping them with access to positive role models and opportunities.
Deb worked with The North Carolina Soldiers and Airmen Assistance Fund (SAAF-NC), an organization that provides financial assistance for basic living essentials, utilities, and medical costs to National Guard soldiers and their families in need.
At Parker Poe, Tasneem’s practice covers the full suite of intellectual property services across patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets, including enforcement, defense, preparation and prosecution, and counseling. She takes the time to understand her clients' business goals and aims to be a true partner, adding value by providing highly tailored services.
Deb advises healthcare providers and organizations on regulatory compliance issues and represents them in administrative proceedings and litigation pertaining to enforcement actions, reimbursement disputes, and government investigations.
Class members, who represented a range of industries, were celebrated during a graduation at the Graylyn Estate in Winston-Salem.
