Charlotte, NC – The North Carolina World Trade Association (NCWTA) has named Caitlin Becker to its executive board, where she will serve as chief community officer. In that role, Caitlin will help support and engage the association’s membership, enhance communications to keep members informed and connected, and contribute to the ongoing development of the association’s website as a resource for members and the broader international business community.

The NCWTA was founded in 1964. Today, it educates the business community on international trade resources and policies, and it promotes regional opportunities to expand inbound and outbound investment. The organization brings together professionals from a wide range of sectors, including manufacturing, importing and exporting, supply chain and logistics, finance and banking, and legal and professional services.

Caitlin recently received NCWTA’s Master Architect Award, presented at the association’s summit on September 17, for her contributions to the NCWTA.

In addition, Caitlin serves on the advisory board of the Young Professionals of the World Affairs Council of Charlotte (YPWACC). YPWACC is a network of internationally minded professionals in the Charlotte area who are committed to engaging in social and educational activities that promote global understanding.

At Parker Poe, Caitlin advises businesses on investments and expansions in the United States. As the former head of an international law firm’s U.S. desk in Germany, she has a unique understanding of the cultural and business needs of clients seeking to relocate or expand in the U.S.
