Charleston, S.C. – Attorneys with Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP and economic development professionals with Parker Poe Consulting have helped Protego, a German manufacturer, establish a new facility in North Charleston, South Carolina. The company plans to invest $3.7 million at the new sales and manufacturing facility.

Protego is a German company that makes industrial safety products that protect against fires and explosions. Its equipment is used in refineries, chemical plants, offshore platforms, and other industrial applications. Protego has operated a sales and manufacturing facility in the Charleston region for 15 years, and now it is expanding this facility as it relocates to Palmetto Commerce Parkway in North Charleston.
