John Amabile, Beth Morris, and Reagan Sauls in Atlanta; Tiffany Burba, Catherine Clodfelter, and Laura Goode in Raleigh; Robert Osborne in Charleston; and Megan Dunham in Charlotte were voted into the firm’s partnership.
A seasoned commercial litigator, John Amabile seeks to partner with clients to obtain the best results for their business. He has tried dozens of cases to judges, juries, and arbitrators, has represented parties in more than 200 mediations, and has resolved hundreds of disputes. He represents a range of clients, from real estate to logistics and consumer goods to technology industries.
Tiffany Burba’s practice sits at the intersection of intellectual property law and commercial contracting. She represents large institutional clients in their day-to-day IT procurement endeavors as well as independent technology companies in their revenue-generating licensing deals. Tiffany is also a Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) and counsels multinational companies on compliance with data privacy regulations.
Catherine Clodfelter serves clients across municipal law and business litigation. She helps local governments navigate a wide range of legal needs, including drafting and negotiating interlocal agreements and economic development agreements and reviewing and revising ordinances to comply with state and constitutional requirements. In litigation, she represents both local government units and business clients in state court, bankruptcy court, and Office of Administrative Hearings.
Megan Dunham advises clients on estate, trust, tax, and closely held business issues. She designs creative and flexible estate planning solutions to balance opposing estate tax and income tax issues, as a result allowing clients to minimize transfer tax exposure and maximize income tax benefits while achieving their personal and familial succession goals. Additionally, Megan assists clients in structuring and administering various types of nonprofit organizations and philanthropic vehicles.
Laura Goode concentrates her practice on commercial real estate and land use, including substantial experience in telecommunications. She advises on a range of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisition, disposition, leasing and easements. She routinely advises clients on transactional real estate matters that overlap with land use and development issues to provide a holistic approach to her representation.
Beth Morris has represented school districts in Georgia since 2005. She focuses her practice on issues involving children with disabilities, regularly advising clients on the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. She represents school districts in due process hearing requests as well as Department of Education and Office for Civil Rights complaints. She often conducts statewide trainings on these issues.
Robert Osborne represents clients in complex litigation pending before state and federal courts and in arbitration and has successfully handled state and federal appeals. His practice spans a variety of areas, including commercial contract disputes, business torts, and products liability as well as professional negligence, real estate, and financial services litigation. Robert also has experience handling construction-related issues such as mechanics’ liens and construction defect claims.
Reagan Sauls has represented school districts in Georgia since 2006. She handles a wide variety of matters for boards of education, including personnel matters and hearings, student discipline tribunals, responding to state and federal Department of Education complaints, and addressing allegations of discrimination complaints through the Office for Civil Rights and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. She also handles litigation in state and federal court and school district policies and procedures.
