Cross-Border Compliance for Mexican Businesses

Tiffany presented about cross-border compliance for Mexican businesses and risk mitigation under current U.S. laws and regulations. She provided an overview of the current legal landscape as it relates to the implications of foreign terrorist organization (FTO) designations as well as specially designated global terrorists (SDGTs). She also discussed sources of potential transactional risk and what risk factors suggest heightened compliance. 

Managing Cross-Border Compliance Risk

Hector provided insights about increased U.S. regulatory scrutiny as it relates to cross-border risk for Mexican companies as well as compliance expectations and other legal requirements for relocating or expanding into the U.S. He also discussed hidden liabilities after closing and how companies can respond to potential violations.
