Healthcare attorneys Jordan Johnson and Brittany Cone, along with Becky Hewitt, director of healthcare reimbursement, will present a series of Medicaid trainings for Georgia skilled nursing facilities during a Georgia Health Care Association virtual bootcamp.

The trainings will be held on November 3, 5, 18, and 19, and focus on an area that is critical to nursing facility operations: navigating the Medicaid eligibility process from the time of admission through approval.

The program will provide useful training on admission screening, Medicaid pending management, documentation, and strategies to improve approval rates while reducing financial risk. Additionally, the attendees will gain an understanding of the concurrent legal issues and remedies surrounding guardianship and conservatorship petitions and hearings and Medicaid fair hearings.
