Parker Poe hosted its 8th Annual Business Litigation Forum in Charlotte on February 26. Our attorneys and in-house counsel discussed real-world challenges: what we are seeing in the courts, how enforcement priorities are shifting, and how businesses can best position themselves in an increasingly complex litigation environment.

North Carolina Attorney General Jeff Jackson delivered opening remarks. Clients and friends of the firm in attendance learned about some of the 10,000 active cases he and his team are handling.

In addition, Shayla Wright moderated a panel on how to keep contracts out of litigation. In-house counsel Lamont Griffin joined Sarah Hutchins, Morgan Rogers, and Elizabeth Trenary to offer insights on the panel.

Next, Brian Cromwell moderated a government enforcement update covering the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and beyond. Dena King, Joel Schwartz, and Cristina Stam walked through key takeaways for in-house counsel and other business leaders.
